Came for a quick lunch and got their special which is just a chili dog with onions and mustard. It was definitely better than I thought and the fries are pretty good. Service was super quick and the servers are nice. For $10, this is pretty solid and I would come here when I'm craving a hot dog for sure.

I advised the older bearded gentleman that this was ONE of the BEST hotdogs I've ever eaten! I'm from NC, where we put mustard, slaw, chili & onions on our hotdogs! The restaurant is old school, rich in history! Nothing fancy but totally DELICIOUS! If you come to Detroit....you MUST try them out! Will definitely

Delicious! I can see why people say this place has the best coney dogs in Detroit. The chili is addictive, the hot dog has the perfect snap when you bite it, the fries are crispy and not greasy, and the vibe is relaxed and chill. Excellent, fast, and friendly service.

Detroit! This place is iconic. No frills no miss straightforward and delicious. Fast service no messing around you should know what you want. It's as old school as you get. A classic cooler set up you just don't see anymore. All dudes serving that delicious dog just the way you want it; a little snap and saucy. I think I'll try the loose meat next time

Good, cheap hot dog made quick On the trek in Detroit and I had to get a coney dog before I left. Speed was quick, literally walked in, ordered, and 30 seconds later got two dogs. Buns were grilled, chili was meaty, mustard was a little much but the dog was salty enough to counter-balance. They also added a ton of onions which was welcomed. Two dogs came out to 5 bucks, so quick and cheap. By definition, this is the standard of what one calls a coney dog. It's nothing spectacular, but it is the bar set by the original. It's a place to try because of its legacy. Not the best bite, but worth it

Lafayette Coney Island!! What needs to be said about one of the best places to enjoy a chili-cheese dog. It's a masterpiece of goodness, it has to be the Chef. It's old school and I enjoyed the chili-cheese dog, I was there at 9am...and it was everything I thought it would be. This place is worth your time and effort. ***Flight Attendant approved**

We were on vacation and decided to stop here since we were told this is an old school spot. It's literally downtown so parking is on the street. There's a giant sign so you can not miss this place. There was 3 older guys working there. As soon as you walk in the menu is there and they ask you what you want. It's an actual old school diner. This place is extremely efficient. Service was beyond amazing. Prices were amazing 4 people ate under $20. If you're in the area you have to stop by here.

It's not trendy, maybe a bit sketchy, but that feeds into the experience. Cheap eats, quick service. Delicious coneys. Try not to need to go to the bathroom while here.
